What it covers
- Confirming the pregnancy and the first check-up
- Regular check-ups through all nine months
- Blood tests and other tests, as needed
- Advice on food, iron, rest and warning signs
- Delivery planned with a partner hospital. Deliveries are not done at this clinic.
Sex determination is not done here. It is a punishable offence under the PCPNDT Act.
What to expect at the visit
- The doctor asks about your health, your periods and any earlier pregnancies.
- A check-up of weight, blood pressure and the baby's growth.
- Tests, if any are needed.
- You leave with a clear plan for the next visit and a date for it.
What to bring
- Any earlier reports and blood test reports
- Prescriptions and the medicines you take now
- Your husband or a family member, if you like
